As complexity of the wheels increase, Powderflo take more care in ensuring an excellent refurbishment is conducted. We have vast experience is repairing all types of split rims. All splits are completely dismantled prior to the restoration process. All mating surfaces are also masked prior to the paint process so once we do assemble wheels they fit and seat as they should. We ensure when blasted and dipped that all threads are clean from debris that may later cause issues. Split rims may cause issues upon disassembly, many manufactures use titanium bolts as standard; we have seen many cases of stripped heads on these types due to improper removal. Powderflo have special techniques and pre-treatments to ensure smooth disassembly of bolts.
